Whalidate vs Polycopy: Polymarket Copy Trading Compared

Last updated

Polycopy and Whalidate both copy Polymarket traders, both let you test on paper for free, and both screen traders by their record before you copy them. They differ in how you pay and in how traders are chosen and followed. Polycopy costs $0 or $30 a month plus a flat 0.5% fee on every filled trade and takes cards. Whalidate charges a flat plan price from $0 to $349 a month with no fee per trade and takes crypto. Polycopy is ahead on several points, and we list them below.

How we compared

Every Polycopy fact here comes from Polycopy's own public pages, listed under Sources. We read them on 11 October 2026; Polycopy may have changed its prices, plans or terms since, and its own pages are the authority on what applies today. We did not open a Polycopy account, connect a wallet or measure its execution. Whalidate's facts come from our own Terms, policies and published figures, with their dates. Polycopy is a separate service, and we have no relationship with it. Whalidate is not affiliated with Polymarket, and Polycopy says it is not either.

Where Polycopy is ahead

  • Cheaper for small accounts. $30 a month, or $0 with manual copies, against our $49 Starter. The 0.5% fee grows with what you trade: $30 plus 0.5% of $3,800 in filled orders comes to $49, so Polycopy Premium costs less than our Starter until your filled orders, buys and sells together, pass about $3,800 a month.
  • Paper results that charge costs. Polycopy's paper results subtract simulated fees and slippage. Ours carry neither, so a Whalidate paper result is the best case, as our paper trading page says.
  • Following the trader out. Polycopy can sell when the trader sells, on by default. Whalidate copies buys only, and your copy closes on the exits you set.
  • A published out-of-sample test of its trader score. Polycopy scored 1,796 traders on data before a fixed cut-off and reports how they did afterwards, and it publishes a retraction of an earlier claim (Copy Score performance). Our published research covers one 120-day window; when we split it in half, the best wallets of the first 60 days were not reliably the best of the next 60.
  • Live trading on the free plan, and cards. Manual live copies need no paid plan, and Premium is paid by card.

Where Whalidate is different

  • No fee per trade. You pay the plan price and Polymarket's own fee, whatever you trade.
  • Paper with no time limit. A Whalidate paper strategy runs as long as you like, on every plan. Polycopy's paper runs last 7 to 14 days.
  • A threshold for each check, and the reason for each rejection. In WhaleFinder you set your own threshold for each check: return on investment, settled trades, drawdown, how much of the profit came from one trade, recent activity and categories. Every wallet that fails shows the check it failed. Polycopy also lets you filter traders by ROI, category and win rate, and set filters on a Trader Bot (pricing, bot rules). Our default filters passed 166 of the 15,371 wallets we had collected by 30 September 2026. The whale tracker page and our methodology explain the checks.
  • A yearly plan, and a refund window. A yearly plan never renews by itself, a monthly plan renews only if you subscribe, and a first payment can be refunded within 15 days. Polycopy offers a 7-day free trial instead, and its terms give no refunds for partial months unless the law requires one or Polycopy states otherwise.

Which to choose

If you want to pay by card, copy only occasionally, or expect your filled orders to stay under about $3,800 a month, Polycopy may suit you better. If they pass that, and you want paper testing without a time limit and a flat price with no fee per trade, start with Whalidate on paper. That costs nothing and needs no card and no deposit. Open the app and start on paper.

Either way, most copy trading loses money, a copy always buys after the trader, and past results do not predict future ones. Read the terms and the risk pages of any service before you trust it with money, ours included: our Terms and Risk Disclosure. The copy trading page covers how Whalidate works end to end. Whalidate is not available in the restricted countries, and nothing here is financial advice.

Questions people ask

Is Polycopy cheaper than Whalidate?

For small accounts, yes. Polycopy Premium costs $30 a month plus a flat 0.5% of every filled order, buys and sells. Whalidate Starter costs $49 a month with no fee per trade. The two cost the same at about $3,800 of filled orders a month: below that Polycopy costs less, above it Whalidate does. Polymarket's own fee, in the markets where it charges one, applies on both.

Do both offer free paper trading?

Yes. Polycopy's paper bots are free, up to 10 active at once, in runs of 7 to 14 days, and their results subtract simulated fees and slippage. Whalidate's paper strategies are free on every plan with no time limit, 3 to 30 depending on the plan, and are booked at the signal price with no fees, so they show the best case.
